Barbara Kirksey is a multi-talented faculty member with a love for the theatre. She has a Master of Arts in Psychology with a Literature minor from The University of Dallas. Although she has taught at DeVry University for eighteen years and has piloted the literature and film course, she has seven years experience teaching English as a Second Language including a six-month teaching contract in Tokyo, Japan. Active in the Irving Arts community, she serves on the board of the Irving Symphony Orchestra and coordinate s the visual presentation of children's art work for the 5th grade concerts. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Arts for the IISD, and is a member of the Irving Community Theater. Last winter she designed the costumes for the Irving Community Theater's production of "No Way to Treat a Lady." |
